“Incredible trip, it was well organized and a smooth experience. The destinations were perfect, with a beach almost every day to relax after cycling. The flexibility of the trains and boats to cut down kms as desired was excellent to ensure each day was enjoyable. Note that the route map brings you from city to city and then with your own GPS to get to the exact hotel, this can add up to 10 extra km in addition. Go for the adventure, cycling and the wonderful food along the way, each day was a lovely surprise!” Less

“I really enjoyed the trip. The scenery was gorgeous. The navigation app worked well, and pointed out the details we needed to cross the road when needed, and circle around to cross bridges. Our luggage transfers were seamless. I was happy with my pedal assist ebike, which worked without a hitch and made the riding just the right level of athletic challenge (but not too much). We got a great overview of the ride from Vienna to Budapest from a meeting with the tour operator, so we knew what to expect, and weren't confused on our rail and boat transfers towards the end.

“We had a wonderful time touring the sights of the 1944 D-Day landing beaches. There were at least 2 museums in each of the main towns dedicated to the D-Day invasion. We rode in sunshine, rain, and wind but overall the weather was not bad. The hotels were all excellent and the luggage transfer was seamless. The only downside was we had to closely budget our time in the museums to complete the ride. There is so much to see this trip could easily be an extra day with shorter daily rides to take it all in. We were happy to have E-bikes which gave us more energy to tour the sights. The stop at the American Cemetery in Normandy was a moving experience. We would highly recommend this trip for anyone, but do your homework and have an understanding of the events and places you will see. The special part of this ride is that you not only visit Utah and Omaha beaches but also Gold, Juno, and Sword which gives you a good perspective of the magnitude of this operation. Food was not always readily available in Normandy as most restaurants were closed from 1-2 which was not ideal for us.” Less
