Austria Bike and Boat Tours

“This is my second tour through biketours.com, and it was incredible. I've never done a bike and boat tour, but I would absolutely do it again. It was wonderful to unpack and have the same room to come back to every day. We did May 17-24th 2026, and the weather was outstanding; sunny and 75 degrees. I loved the format of the itinerary as we would ride in the country and alternate with visting a city the next day. The amount of architecture and history you will see in one week is truly breathtaking. Cycling through the Austrian countryside, particularly Wachau, was dreamy as well. I highly recommend this tour on e-bike if you want to have a more relaxing time, but the Danube cycle path is very flat and easy for regular bikes too. One of the highlights was seeing a classical music concert at Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna. Wow, wow, wow! Food on the ship was good, and the tour guide's daily brief and visual slides before the ride were excellent. They have an app called Guibo that provides very good GPS navigation of the route with particular stops of interest marked.” Less

“Our first bike and boat trip but won't be our last. What a great way to experience both the typical travel destinations and some of the beautiful countryside and small villages in between them. The crew and cruise director were so friendly and welcoming. We had very comfortable accommodations and got to meet so many other like-minded travelers.” Less

“Foi maravilhoso visitat quatro países que não conhecíamos. Fizemos uma viagem em família e a equipe do Princesa Katharina manteve o clima, nos alocando com outra família - extremamente simpática e com a qual tivemos excelentes momentos - para além das refeições, encontramo-nos em alguns dos passeios, de tanto que nos demos bem. Todos no navio foram receptivos, com destaque aos funcionários - sobretudo a guia Michaela, também brasileira e extremamente prestativa. Visitamos lugares para os quais jamais iríamos se não tivéssemos esse roteiro, paisagens maravilhosas no interior de países que, apesar de tão próximos, têm características bastante marcantes. Adoramos, também, conhecer algumas capitais: isso tornou a viagem mais animada. Sem dúvida, os pontos fortes desse tipo de passeio foram a facilidade de transporte: afinal, não precisávamos nos deslocar a todo momento com as bagagens, pois nosso “hotel” todo se deslocava. Isso evitava cansaço e desgaste, permitindo que a energia fosse poupada para passeios de bicicleta: vias muito bem sinalizadas, mapas bons, guias sempre dispostos e lindas perspectivas do Danúbio.
