Amazing Trip
Amsterdam to Bruges: Cycling through South Holland and Zeeland
Really amazing trip, as the paths in the Netherlands and Belgium are first-rate and a biker's haven. Pieter from our tour company was awesome. First-rate bikes and the GPS on this trip were flawless, which is the first time after completing six tours that I could say that. Additionally, we appreciated the selection of hotels on this tour. Definitely looking forward to another bike trip in Holland.

We were able to explore the countryside of Belgium and the Netherlands in ways that a car trip would not have allowed us, plus staying on a very comfortable boat, with great food and the possibility of making good friends! It is an easy track for those who are not very athletic but are used to biking.

Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique III (and reverse)
Our first trip to Belgium, Holland and the city of Amsterdam. What an amazing way to travel. Each day was filled so many local and historical sites and information through our lovely tour guides. It was structured and accommodating for all abilities of riders. The boat was immaculate and the staff worked hard to greet us in the morning and back after our daily rides.

Enjoyed seeing so many different areas of the city. Edward our guide was excellent. Very responsive to the group, incredibly knowledgeable and great at communicating. We learnt alot and had fun along the way!

Great, fun, educational 3 hour bike tour
Best of Brussels Bike Tour
Our guide Ahmed really did make the whole experience great. So knowledgeable, fun and took us to some lovely neighbourhoods we would never have seen or been to. Great value. Lovely stop for frites or a beer/glass of wine. Highly recommend. Would do the same tour when back. Electric bikes did help on a couple of hills but weren't really needed. Thumbs up.

This trip had it all - new friends, good food, interesting and beautiful cities, history and bicycling. However the bicycling was quite easy. I wish the route maps were updated so that we could have added more miles and ridden on our own especially when the groups were quite large.

Very good ride. So much to see along the way and relatively easy. Planning with biketours.com worked well and our back and forth communication during the planning process was as expected. Pre-travel materials were accurate, and we were well prepared upon arrival in Europe. In country, Boat Bike Tours did a nice job. The boat was clean and well-staffed with friendly people. The bikes worked well, however we were not able to bring our own pedals and saddles as we have been able to swap them out on previous rides with biketours.com. Apart from blowing out the bearings on a pedal, we had no issues with the bikes. We went self guided and the directions via the Ride with GPS app were spot on and accurate. Highlights, bathrooms, restaurants along the route were highlighted and worth the visit. We liked having options on some days as well with a couple choices on rides. Though I enjoy staying in the different small European cities along the way and having our luggage transported on previous rides, the boat worked well, especially for those that wanted to take a day off due to rain or winds. For the most part, the boat parked in excellent locations making it easy to explore on your own. There was no curfew on the boat, so you could come and go as you please for the most part. Part of the trip is not riding, but on the boat. This is primarily through industrial areas, which was interesting because we traveled through multiple locks. We traveled with two vegans, and were told during planning process that they could not accommodate these diets, but the staff were eventually able to make vegan meals for the two which was not expected, but welcome none the less (thank you Firas on board the Fluvius!). Note that helmets were included on the boat free of charge, so don't pay the 10 Euro to rent one.

Bike and Barge Adventure
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique II (and reverse)
A wonderful week of fresh air, exercise, amazing food, beautiful scenery, and great people.
We cycled through small towns, across farmland, and into large cities. The scenery was spectacular. Having to stop to wait for 100 cows to move from one field to another was a quirky countryside highlight. Traveling down 31 metres by elevator, then cycling through a 521 metre long tunnel under the River Scheldt, and returning to surface level on escalators was a large city highlight.
All of the crew were dedicated, cheerful, and knowledgeable. One of our guides was from Belgium (Jordy) and other from the Netherlands (Hetty) and the friendly banter between them was fun. Hetty shared stories relating to many sights and Jordy bought us local treats to taste.
The host (Vio) and hostess (Sophie) were always ready to help out and were incredibly kind. The chef (Steven) prepared amazing meals and there was always delicious food available. No losing weight, despite the physical activity. When we returned to the barge or watched it sail by as we rode, the crew smiled and waved at us, making us feel like family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip from Bruges to Amsterdam aboard the Magnifque IV. The crew was amazing and very responsive and charming. The routes took us through incredible scenery and the tidbits shared by the guides kept us engaged. There wasn't a bad thing about the trip and we can't stop talking about it to our friends. We are looking at which trip to take next. Thank you for a wonderful experience and travel adventure.

This trip was so fun! Meeting new people, being active during the day, and eating three meals together was like being in an adult summer camp. The staff was incredibly responsive to our needs - from the guide, to the captain and crew, and chef on board. The meals were incredible - and some of the best food I have ever had. It was a great way to be introduced to biking - amazing!

Enjoyed the trip. We enjoyed the scenery. We enjoyed the barge. The floors of the barge are stunning. All the personnel were wonderful and I appreciated there pitch-in attitude. My only suggestion in regarding the biking, is that because E bikes now allow folks who are not bikers on these trips, that the groups always be divided into two. That first day when we had such a large group going through busy Ghent was uncomfortable. Those at the front asked to wait at corners, waited over 15 minutes isolated and it was not clear if we were going to have the Support to find the boat. I suggest also a discussion about not letting big gaps form within the same group, so those being supportive at the corners are not waiting. ( I’m not suggesting that they ride right behind someone, just not perhaps multiple hundred yard gaps. Really loved the tour.

we thoroughly enjoyed this trip, from the greeting on the first day to the tearful goodbyes on the last. We can’t say enough about the crew on the Magnifique IV, they were so busy yet did a great job!! Our tour guides for the bikes were a blast, made the kilometers melt away. We would do again in a heartbeat!!

Always wanted to do this type of trip but can never find anyone to do it with. Went with a friend and we are so impressed with the trip we are planning another one in 2026. I have traveled all over the world and this ranks up there as one of my favorite.

Wonderful Experience

My wife and I had a wonderful experience on this bike tour of Belgium and Netherlands. The barge itself was very nice, and the crew and guides were even better. Every night the chef exceeded our expectations with a great dinner. The best part were the friendships and fun we had with the other folks on the tour.
