Beautiful Alps, streams, forests, and alpine valleys

Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails

Wonderfully scenic and peaceful way to see Austria. The alpine valleys were beautiful and the trail varied with forest, rivers and of course the Alps

    Great trip!!

Provence’s History, Landscapes, and Luberon National Park

We are having a fantastic time on our bike trip. There are seven of us ( all over 60) some regular bikes but mostly e bikes, and this trip is checking all of our boxes. Beautiful scenery, charming hotels, a knowledgeable and helpful guide (Adam)
and wonderful food. Highly recommended whether you want to be challenged on a bike or like the option of electric assist. Even the extreme heat has not gotten in the way.

Excellent trip bathed in beautiful nature in all directions

Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps

What a perfect way to travel through the beautiful countryside of Italy, Austria and Slovenia's followed with the alps on the side.
Every part of the journey was without any troubles at all. The navigation app was flawless and very easy to use.
We are very satisfied with BikeTours and Fun active Tours, simply because everything was after the plan.
We would 100% recommend them and are already begin to plan the next tour.

Really beautiful scenery and a great bike to take me down the paths

Danube Cycle Path Passau – Budapest

I really enjoyed the trip. The scenery was gorgeous. The navigation app worked well, and pointed out the details we needed to cross the road when needed, and circle around to cross bridges. Our luggage transfers were seamless. I was happy with my pedal assist ebike, which worked without a hitch and made the riding just the right level of athletic challenge (but not too much). We got a great overview of the ride from Vienna to Budapest from a meeting with the tour operator, so we knew what to expect, and weren't confused on our rail and boat transfers towards the end.

I liked staying in the smaller towns, where I could see how people live, and experience local hospitality.

    Life-time experience!

Prague to Vienna via Cesky Krumlov

We had a wonderful experience on this tour and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Our guide, Milan, and our driver, Henry, were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the journey. Milan enriched the experience by providing extensive historical context and fascinating insights about the places we visited, which made the tour even more memorable.

The cycling route was excellent and very scenic. Some sections, particularly the hilly terrain, were quite challenging, but the rest of the route was manageable and enjoyable. The effort was definitely worth it, given the beautiful landscapes and rewarding experience.

Overall, this was an outstanding tour, and I would definitely do it again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A fabulous way to experience South Africa

South African Safari & Bike Adventure: Kruger, Blyde River, and More

    The trip exceeded our expectations.
Lizelle and Wendel went out of their way to share some of their favourite parts of South Africa. We cycled by giraffes and zebras on a private game reserve, through avocado and orange orchards and through the spectacular Blyde Canyon. We also loved the non-cycling side trips. A perfect holiday.

    Great trip

Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)

Overall it was a great trip. We had standard bikes and never had a problem with them. Our bags arrived with no problems.
It was lovely riding along the Danube and seeing different small towns in Austria. It was very hot when we were there with a head wind so some hard days but doable.

    Great trip

Innsbruck to Lake Garda Across the Southern Slopes of the Alps

Very well organised. Lovely hotels. Superb helpline which we ended up using daily as one of our group was ill and couldn’t cycle most days. The help included the bike being transported on the days it couldn’t be cycled and when that couldn’t happen a new bike got delivered instead. Amazing.

    Prima volta in bici

    Vienna to Budapest (Classic)

    Could be better

    Berlin – Copenhagen

Overall this was an amazing trip. However, there were some frustrating aspects as follows:
    1. Route instructions were terrible. I stopped getting lost once I downloaded and used the GPS routes
    2. I missed many sites of interest as the layout of the guidebook was pretty awful as well. For example, descriptions of sites of interest were several pages before or after the maps of specific towns. The company would benefit from starting over with their guidebooks and find a user experience expert to change layout.
    3. Most lodging ranged from good to very good. However, several were either too far from town to find a decent place to eat, or more importantly very noisy making a restful night next to impossible. This factor of itself was enough to consider whether I would recommend this trip.
    4. The last day was not an unpleasant way to end the trip given I had the choice of over 100 km or ride next to a busy highway for most of the day. The end point could be better through through.

    Great excursion

Camino de Santiago: From Leon to Santiago (Premium)

I had a btr time than I expected. My group got along great. The guides were wonderful and I am a first time e-bike mountain biker and that was quite an adventure. I had a lot of fun as feel accomplished too! As in I’m glad I finished the Camino and have a certificate to prove it.

Great way to see a whole different part of France

    Atlantic Coast of France

Fascinating and beautiful area of France. I had already done a Bike and Barge trip in France and a hiking trip, all in the more central areas of the country. And been to Paris. But this trip, along the Atlantic coast, was stupendous. The bike paths were well marked and you are either biking along the coast or through vineyards. We upgraded the accommodations and all hotels were fabulous. My only thought is that this might have been better as a guided trip rather than self guided. We kept feeling like there was so much we were cycling through that would have been better with a guide. Finally - local tour company provided great bikes and their direction system (RoadBook) worked great.

    Fabulous Way To Experience Provence!

Cycling Paradise of Provence - to and from Avignon

We had a wonderful 6 day self-guided cycle through Provence - the Biketours organisation was outstanding as were the e-bikes we hired. Our bags were collected on time every time and delivered to our next hotel with no issues. We downloaded our GPS files onto Komoot - the app worked brilliantly and the maps were detailed and accurate- 2 of our party downloaded the maps which ensured we stayed on the right path! We particularly enjoyed spending 2 nights in each town as it meant we didn't have to repack our bags every day. Most of the routes took us along lovely and well maintained cycle paths so we did not have to navigate too much through busy towns or big roads with lots of traffic. The ride was moderate as described - not too easy nor too difficult which left us feeling we had done enough exercise for the day without being exhausted. We took the standard package for the first and last hotels but upgraded the middle hotel (to Hotel Henri) which was well worth the extra spend as it was outstanding. The other 2 hotels, Hotel Central (Avignon) and Hotel L'Amandiere (St Remy) were decent - the rooms clean and spacious, however the staff were unfriendly. Hotel Central is well positioned allowing easy access to the old town. Hotel L'Amandiere is a 10min walk from town but has a very nice swimming pool - a great feature given the 40deg temps we were riding in! Just beware, if you arrive earlier than the 3pm check in, and you would like to use the pool, they are going to charge you an early check-in fee of around EUR25/room. All in all, a fantastic experience and one I would highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the beautiful countryside and cycling up to the medieval villages without having to fight the traffic or the crowds.

Superb cycling experience from Porto to Obidos

Portugal's Coastal Splendor from Porto to Lisbon

Looked after very well from start to finish by Alberto and Ivo from Top Bike Tours Portugal, Helen and I enjoyed a superb 6 day cycling experience from Porto to Obidos in early May. Starting with a comprehensive briefing and supported by an (essential) guided departure out of Porto towards the coastal path, the overall experience was excellent. The supplied e-bikes were perfect for the route and had plenty of battery capacity. This included a 90km day when we chose to detour off the designated route to visit the gorgeous town of Aveiro (the 'Venice' of Portugal). The navigation app worked perfectly, which included being directed to our hotel at the end of each day's cycling. And we successfully followed up many of the recommended restaurants supplied in the information pack. Cycling down the Atlantic coast in early May was near perfect timing: not too hot and very little rain. Highly recommended!
