Amaaaazing!
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
I really enjoyed the trip I took on the boat, Running on Waves. The crew is amazing, everyone very attentive, and two people… The setup for our experience at each destination was great, the food is wonderful, and besides the boat’s organization being very good, it’s also beautiful. I highly recommend it, for anyone thinking about taking a high-end trip, look into the boat Running on Waves.

Thrilling but fun ride down the mountain!
Kefalonia Ainos Mountain Bike Tour
My partner and I were experienced riders and had a great time down the mountain! However my sister and her friend (newbie bike riders) had a more challenging time. We would recommend this to folks who have gravel or some MTB experience. 10/10. Lambros was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He was also incredibly patient with my sister and very encouraging. It was a beautiful ride!! We would do it again.

Great Crete Trip
Aegean Discovery: Cycling through Eastern Crete
Well-curated trip with right balance of gorgeous and varied scenery (mountains, orchards, seaside/ocean views), archeological sites, daily distances, and elevation changes. Bicycles were in tip-top shape to tackle hills and valleys, and routes were easy to follow with the Ride with GPS. Accommodations were well above average for 3 star hotels, and breakfast offerings (especially Greek yogurt with preserved fruits) were divine. Only small glitches on the time of bike delivery/outfitting on day 1.

Awesome Trip
Greece's Ionian Islands by Bike & Boat
We loved our guides, Jack and Giota. The start of our trip had some rough seas delays, but they were very adept at figuring out alternative activities on the days we couldn’t sail. The food cooked by Nondas was excellent!

A nice ride from the mountain
Kefalonia Ainos Mountain Bike Tour
Our guide was great, so are the views. No need of big experience, it is considered quite easy for MTB-riders.

Fabulous way to see and experience Eastern Crete
Aegean Discovery: Cycling through Eastern Crete
Our group of 6 friends enjoyed the challenge of cycling Eastern Crete.
Electric bikes helped us climb the rugged mountains where the scenery was breathtaking.
The tour took us to busy towns and quiet villages; Past turquoise waters and hills covered in spring flowers or olive trees.
We saw sheep and goats. Smelt the wild herbs growing on the side of the road.
We ate slow cooked lamb and a variety of fish. Creamy yoghurt and local honey. Wild greens, fresh salads Cretan pies and gyros.
The freshly squeezed orange juice is a must.
The Cretan hospitality is amazing - including dessert and Raki!
Everything went as planned. The app was accurate. Luggage transfers were on time.
This is a great way to see the real Crete.

Amazing way to see Crete
Aegean Discovery: Cycling through Eastern Crete
Overall this is an amazing way to see an amazing island. The hotels were all nice with good breakfasts, and all of the planning and logistics went quite smoothly. The tour company was quite responsive and helpful when issues arose. Definitely get an E-bike though, there are tons of hills on Crete! The days were all quite manageable with an E-bike. The route went through a nice mix of villages, countryside and along the Ocean. The route is entirely on roads (no bike paths), some of which were a bit busy at times. There are a few touristy things to see along the way each day as well which was nice.

Breathtaking scenery, challenging ride
Aegean Discovery: Cycling through Eastern Crete
Crete is a wonderful island. There is history and ruins, scenery , varied climate from desert to sea, to fertile valleys. The people I met were all wonderful. I did the 14 day option and it was off season. I was the only person .Most of the place closes on October 31. There are 2-3 very challenging climbs on a daily basis. If you are a recreational rider, choose the ebike. On my final day it took me 1.5 hrs to do the first 4.5 km climb. I ride an hour a day and it was challenging, but exhilarating. Weather is wonderful, food is great , accommodations were very well appointed and had fabulous locations. The app has some hiccups, like a peculiar estimate of 1/2 km and a tendency to stop a distance from the hotel. This may have been due to the off season nature and the usual hotels not being used, but it was very disconcerting at the end of a ride to be searching for the hotel. The local travel company was great in helping with difficulties I encountered. Overall though, it was a wonderful combination of exercise and touring and discovering a fabulous place .

Greek island adventure
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
Boat was great! Crew and staff were amazing especially Lina our cruise director and Alex our bike guide.
The food was good and healthy but all meals were served buffet style which was a disappointment considering the pictures on the website and the fact that we were on a luxury boat.
The company needs to do more work to organize itself for bike tours. The trips were not well planned out in advance, there were a few minor breakdowns, only one guide, there were not enough paniers for all the riders and there was a daily expectation for us to return to the boat for lunch each day. This is difficult when rides start mid-day. The staff were very good at revising tours on the spot based on comments of participants and providing us with sandwiches some days.
Also not ideal was the fact that there were office staff and owner family and friends who did not mix with the paying passengers, even when we tried to engage with them. They were not cyclists and spent their days in the ports sightseeing and had 2 tables exclusively reserved for each meal on the boat. When one of our American friends tried to sit at their table the person said “no Americans”. This was very rude and disconcerting. It made the experience on the boat a little weird.
We were supposed to go through Corinth, but the canal was closed just before our trip so this was disappointing, but not the fault of the company. The boat had to travel much farther than originally planned and travelled often overnight.
All in all it was not quite what we were expecting, but we loved the boat, we had excellent service and we made lasting friendships with other participants.- What was the date of your tour?

20th Anniversary Trip
Cultural Splendors of the Peloponnese and Saronic Isles E-bike and Boat
Our expectations were exceeded. We knew we would love to see the countryside this way, and indeed it was fabulous to see the more remote areas that most tourists never experience. And the staff blew us away. I felt so cared for. Every need was accommodated. The staff had such a positive attitude which is noteworthy for how hard they work. It made it a really special experience that we will cherish.

Amazing experience!
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
What an incredible trip! The team on board was fantastic — always thinking ahead and making everything smooth. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the cabins were super comfy and spotless.
We cycled 20–60 km a day, exploring stunning views of Greece — olive groves, crystal-clear sea, quiet roads, and amazing beaches you couldn’t reach on foot. Morning yoga helped stretch our muscles and get ready for the day.
The food was incredible — never the same twice, with choices between fish and meat, plus fresh berries, fruits, and treats. Highlights included lamb and langoustines. October was perfect — great weather, gorgeous nature, and peaceful towns. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves cycling, nature, and the sea!

Fantastic Trip

I have been on several bike and boat tours. This past week on the ship Running on Waves was certainly a cut above. The ship was immaculate, staff was over the top helpful and catered to everything we could possibly need. Our bike guide Alex was excellent and our rides beautiful, challenging and interesting. 5 + stars.

E-bike trips on bike&boat

The perfect way to explore the Greek islands!
The instructor Alex was excellent with the great knowledge of e bikes and the routes troughs the amazing sceneries of the Greece islands.
