Excellent Trip
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
I would definitely recommend Biketours.com. We had a fantastic trip from Passau to Vienna. Nothing to fault in any of the hotels en route. The Rose Hotel in Maria Taferl and the hotel in Schlogen were particularly fantastic. Quick checkin always and luggage always ahead of us. I got a puncture on day one and my bike was replaced immediately. The app and directions were first class and so easy to follow. We hired E-bikes and they had a great range - never in danger of running out of battery. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Fabulous trip!
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
What a great way to visit four countries and bike through the lovely countryside. We chose to follow the map on the app ourselves and not have a guide which worked perfectly for us as it gave us more freedom to set our own schedule. We thoroughly enjoyed Leslie, our cruise director, who was full of energy and made each person feel special. The electric bikes were great quality and the crew did all the work moving them on and off the boat for our rides. This is a great introduction for us to the bike and boat world!

Wow! - what a fantastic experience gliding down the stunning Danube. The itinerary was first class - our bikes were just great while the accommodation, meals & service on the 'Manon' were all excellent. It really was an experience of a lifetime riding adjacent to the Danube on high quality pathways a lot of the time while also exploring some stunning sights along the way including some gorgeous towns.

Nice Scenery
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
We have been on a previous biketours.com offered ride in Austria and had certain expectations. The scenery was great but the navigation maps (especially digital) were lacking. The app for navigation and it was not responsive enough for making correct turns. I downloaded the digital files and tried to load them onto a ride app, Ride With GPS, but the files were so disorganized I had to completely re-trace the route for the 3 of the days we rode. Unlike a previous reviewer, I think the last day route from Gradisca d'Isonzo to Treiste was not that treacherous, probably because we took the more hilly alternate route through the countryside. Not very many cars and the rest were respectful of bikes on the road. I was very glad I had a triple front chain ring though because I was in the lowest gear on many hills (my wife had an ebike and met me at the top of every hill :-) ).

Fantastic journey!
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
We did a self guided tour. We had so much fun in the villages with great food and accommodations, most were in the center of the towns. Great breakfasts and service in general. Felt fantastic to ride on the safe bike trails about 3/4 hours daily. We took time off to swim in the lake and get ice cream and relax in the many parks. Great history and a way to immerse more authentically in the vulture. I give this type of holiday my highest recommendation.

This was our (3) time riding the “Passau to Vienna “ tour. Such a beautiful experience.
I caught an illness on our flight from the states. Ended up being transported by ambulance to the hospital. Was unable to ride the next day.
Tour operator arranged to have us and our bikes transported by a van to the next hotel.

Perfect way to experience the Alps and the Tyrol Region!
Innsbruck to Lake Garda Across the Southern Slopes of the Alps
Fantastic experience. Great scenery with great back paths throughout the trip. Every day was unique enough that you felt it was a new experience. All our hotels were fine. A little noisy in IMST from road traffic. A great view from our Hotel room in St. Valentin. Great location in Riva del Garda. Each breakfast provided by the hotels were outstanding (sliced meat, cheese, eggs, etc.). Assistance from Stefano when required was readily available. We had not issues with bikes (better than mine).

Not quite what we expected
Vienna to Budapest 5-nights (Active)
We booked a self-guided 5-day tour from Vienna to Budapest.
There were a few things that did not sit well with us on the organizational front.
The tour itself was great once we got started and the cities/hotels en route were great.
The bike service was great... we had a mechanical issue on Day 1 of riding, and the bike was replaced the next morning.Organizationally:
Confirmation of tour was delayed until the 1 day before the original day of departure.
When I tried to cancel because we wanted to book something that was confirmed, I was told this was not possible.
That seemed unfair, when the tour operator has the right to cancel, but not the client.The initial orientation meeting on "Day 1" in Vienna did not happen until "Day 2".
Nothing at all was arranged for "Day 1" other than the hotel in Vienna.The 5 day tour turned out to be 5 nights, with the 1st night in Vienna, where we already were staying.
So not 5 nights on the road, but 5 nights in hotels. Starting on the morning of "Day 2" makes the tour really only a 4 day tour in my opinion.The bikes that were brought to us on the morning of "Day 2" were not the right bikes that we had ordered.
Pick up time for our bags from the hotel was not mentioned in the orientation meeting.
Consequently, we missed the pickup time on the first hotel and had to pay for a taxi to bring the bags to the next hotel.

Exceeded Expectations

The route planned and information provided allowed us to completely immerse ourselves in the Austrian culture.
All accommodations were wonderful with comfortable, well appointed suites and quality food services.
We will repeat this trip again as we enjoyed it so much.
Recommend adding days on the end to enjoy Vienna.

Charming tour
Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
Good bikes, lucky it was cool weather for most of the trip, charming hotels . We had some small problems following the maps, the day into Koblenz was boring along a highway.

A great trip through Germany!
Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
The tour was beautiful, great scenery and easily bike able! We used the luxury package and were very impressed with the accommodations. Four out of the five hotels exceeded our expectations. Overall we had a great time biking, trying wine, and visiting castles. We found the pacing to be good. A nice amount of biking each day with time to explore along the way. Only a few pieces were stress. It was difficult to navigate the final city due to ongoing construction. And our last day involved a boat trip and it was difficult to coordinate getting the tickets for the boat. That being said, it was an amazing trip and we would go again!

Great experience.
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
It was our first biking tour as a family. The bikes were in great condition. We had one loose handle bar that we were able to tighten. We never needed to pump for the whole trip. The views were fantastic and we had a lot of fun as a family, especially with two teenage boys. We loved the small towns along the way. Most hotels were great with wonderful views (we prefer local hotels). We will do more in the future. Thank you.
