Super Fun Bike Tour
This was a great tour. All of the details were handled very smoothly. Sandy took care of the luggage transfer with no problems. We enjoyed the towns and hotels that we visited. All of the meals were delicious. We usually don’t purchase dinners through the tour but in this case we were glad that we did because we got several evenings of authentic Hungarian meals. The bikes we rented were great for the terrain we cycled on. We will happily book other bike tours with this company.

Amazing tour!
My friends and I had a great time on this tour. Hotels were in the perfect locations to explore each city. Can’t wait to do another bike tour!

Great cycling trip!
The classic tour from Vienna to Budapest exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely stretch of weather, warm with no rain, so the riding was easy and pleasant. The small towns were delightful, especially Gyor, and every hotel was comfortable.
The bikes were sturdy but lightweight, easy to ride and control.
Power banks were needed every day to maintain the provided navigation.- What was the date of your tour?

Fab 4 Bike trip
We had a wonderful time biking the Danube from Vienna to Budapest. The accommodations were great and the app was easy to follow. The bikes were very comfortable with soft seats and fairly upright so no wrist or neck issues. Our group of four ladies was a perfect amount of people to travel with. I would encourage anyone who can bike to do this trip.

Prima volta in bici

Great way to see the countries.
We were part of a group of eight people. Ride was lovely, scenery, small towns very nice. Hotels were good, breakfast always a nice way to start the day. I have only one complaint..we were told that we would recieve a printed guide map upon arrival. We did not. We asked for one or two for those that were counting on it, never recieved the maps. A bit dissapointing considering the size of our group and because we had been told in corrrespondence that such map would be provided. This should have been corrected, easily, and it was not.

Fabulous trip, great for a group
What a great way to see so many little towns that likely people would not visit unless they were doing this trip. We loved very little town for a different reason and in its own way! We had some rough weather one day but we sorted that out. We had a group of 8 and this trip is very good for a larger group like that!
I would like to have known more about what was provided before we arrived. We were told there were no bottle cages, but our bike had them. i didnt bring a bottle because i thought we would not have them. Also, we did NOT have large packs on the bike, which we were told we WOULD have. So my packing was just the opposite of what I would have packed had i known the actual equipment. But we sorted it out after the first day and got on with it! Loved the vest we got for the tour, it served me very well. i used it every day. We rented the gravel bikes, well worth the money if you are an avid cyclist. They were great bikes!!- What was the date of your tour?

Beautiful & Historically Rich
Our self guided cycle trip from Vienna to Budapest was extraordinary. The navigation guide worked really well for the daily cycles and the pacing of our days was great, other than we would have opted to stay in some of the cities like Gyor and Budapest for an extra day to do some history tours. Great hotels, planning and support otherwise.

Father and son special time together
My 34 year old son and I (65) did this 6 day bike trip together. Created many special memories for us. Everything was so well organized. Hotels were very good. Many hotels had nice saunas or steam rooms or Thermal baths near by. It was nice to get to know some of the other bike riders even though this was not a group tour.

Nice Trip
The lodging was very nice. Provided Meals were good to very good. The provided bike was very good but developed shifting issues and tire rubbing issues as the trip went on. Since some group members got ebike upgrades, the operator worked on mine as he delivered the new bikes.
This trip needs to run in the opposite direction. The prevailing wind is just too strong at times. I was warned of that before the trip but took a chance on it. We really struggled at times. That also took away from the time we had for sightseeing. We wanted to explore sights along the way but didn't have the time as we tried to get to the next town at a reasonable time. If we had been going the opposite direction life would have been lots better. Also, we all paid for dinners, but two of us were told our dinners had not been paid for and we would have to pay for them. After much arguing we got our dinners but it was very awkward and uncomfortable. - ★★★★★ Ray S.
Great Trip Along The Danube
What a great trip. Great weather, easy to follow routing, bike paths most of the way and very few hills!!
The accommodations were perfect, and the choice of towns and cities to overnight in were great.
We spent extra days in Vienna and Budapest and both cities are a delight to visit.

Eastern Europe 2025
All in all an excellent trip. The bike tour team in Europe and the U. S. were very helpful and friendly. The navigation app on the whole was helpful, but at times didn’t work. The hotels varied from excellent to good. The directions to the Barokk Hotel (Gyor) were confusing. The bikes were excellent. We had no issues.

All bike tours are not equal
We are experienced bike tourists and have used several bike tour companies as well as planning our own tours. For this tour in particular: Accommodations were all very nice. The luggage transfers were timely and efficient and Roman, the driver, was great. The GPS worked well. The bikes were average and in good repair. A suggestion would be to have various saddle options. Overall the items and logistics of the bike tour co operator were in control of were very good. Specific to our experience, the actual mileages were different than initial itinerary causing final day plans in Budapest to be foiled. In our opinion, this stretch of the Danube radweg is not as scenic as the Passau to Vienna section. To no one’s fault, our specific tour was plagued by extreme heat and 3 days of solid torrential rain, which made this a less than ideal experience. Tour operator came through to try to assist us with alternative transportation options, which we appreciate.

Challenge completed!
As a couple we enjoyed completing the challenge in extremely hot conditions.
We were disappointed in not sighting or swimming in the Danube more often: it’s a mighty impressive river!
Riding enabled greater appreciation of the country and people than by car: crops and farming in particular.
The final ferry ride for over an hour was a great finale!- What was the date of your tour?

A good trip
Overall a very good trip. We have bike along the Danube from Passau to Vienna and that trip was more scenic. This trip was very flat and went through a lot of farm land and nice towns. While we were very close to the Danube most of the time, we could see it less than half of the time. The hotels were excellent and the breakfasts were alway very good. We had a rough start in that pretrial communication was not optimal and we could not get the combination of the bike locks. Other that that things went smoothly. At one point, we were told to follow an embankment along the Danube River. The trail was not paved and there were two ruts about 6 inches wide and an inch deep and foot long grass. That is where the GPS told us to go. I had a fall, which also happened to another couple along the same trail. Other than that the trails and road were good. The riding instructions were more or less accurate but were off by 1 kilometer or more at times despite the instructions being to the nearest 0.1 Km. The GPS was critical. You need a good battery on your smart phone, because if it goes dead, you could be in trouble just following the instructions
