Fun mix of bike & boat
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
This was our third biketours trip and it was a great one. The scenery wasn't as awe inspiring as the Dolomites trip, and the historical sights weren't as strong as the Catalonia trip, but it was a pleasant trip in two great countries.
The rides weren't difficult, the boat was fun, the food was great.

Beautiful and peaceful tour of Sweden
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
This trip exceeded our expectations. The Kattegattleden is a beautiful, well-maintained network of bike trails along the coast, through farmland and cute towns. We had great weather in early September, and no crowds. We rented gravel bikes and they worked out well for us. The hotels were great, with wonderful breakfasts, and we enjoyed the spa in Varberg. We recommend the various detours suggested, such as to Mölle (we enjoyed hiking at Kullaberg) and Fjäråsbräcka. Sweden is very bike-friendly and the people were very friendly as well.

For the cabins-- NEED to include ladder or stool for the cabins (4 of them) that have one bed that is almost 120 cm high we had to move our cabin to cabin #2 which was much smaller. Without the stool or ladder I couldn't get in and out of bed safely

Great trip!
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
We enjoyed everything about the trip. We read reviews that the trains don’t always have room for bikes, so we didn’t try taking train. Every hotel and breakfast was wonderful. The place where we picked up our bikes was less prepared than the bike shops on other trips. They struggled to get our bikes the correct height etc and we had to ask for repairs kits.

Great trip!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
Loved experiencing sailing on a tall ship. The captain and crew were super nice and the food was phenomenal. Kudos to Chef Pete!
Denmark is so picturesque and a fabulous place for biking. The two guides were very personable and helpful but they were not locals. (The entire crew is Dutch.) We had many stops and turn arounds as the guides tried to figure out the routes. While that was frustrating, they were so nice and funny that it became a running joke between them and the group.
The e-bikes were fantastic. Easy to learn and use. -

Fantastic Trip
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
This was our 5th bike trip and by all measures, the best. Denmark and Sweden are beautiful this time of year with everything blooming. We can’t say enough about the boat’s crew and our guides. The food was a 5 star experience at every meal! Biking was a dream as well, with perfectly paved bike paths well away from car traffic. While there was some elevation change, our e-bikes made for easy and enjoyable rides. During the week we made numerous stops at palaces, forts and several beautiful cathedrals. One of the week’s highlights was a day of sailing on our 3 masted ship. When all 14 sails were up it was so much fun. We recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great adventure.

Our best bike trip yet!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
We loved this adventure - exploring the northern Denmark and southern Sweden coasts on bike and enjoying the maritime charm of a sailing ship. The enthusiastic ship crew and knowledgeable bike guides made this journey quite special. Their interaction with guests and among themselves proved stellar as they functioned as a cohesive team to meet the needs of guests. The morning buffet was superb, and the dinners won the hearts of the foodies within the group. Quarters met our needs but if you are very tall, the beds may be on the short side. Hot showers are important after a day of riding - the water was plenty hot! We liked the ship and crew so much we are considering booking the Atlantis during their Mediterranean tour.

The Swedish coast was beautiful and the people so friendly and helpful. The distances between hotels were too long even on e-bikes. We felt we didn’t get enough time to sightsee and explore each day. Hotels were variable
Elite molberg in Helsingborg was excellent
Best western angelholm room small and dark hotel hard to find.
Profilhotel halmstad lovely big room
Hotel hamnagartan was very poor room tiny and not used to e bikes. Gravel made moving bikes and suitcases difficult
Varbergstadshotel excellent
Best western Halland helpful staff but could not get bikes into their garage as no step free access
Elite plaza Gothenburg was good but annoying to have to take the bikes back to comfort hotel where the staff didn’t seem
