Tulips--Bike and Barge
Holland’s Southern Relax Tulip Tour
We had a fabulous time. Great food, scenery, guide and fellow travelers. The only complaint was weather related--COLD! Not the fault of anyone but the weather gods.

Tulip and Windmill Barge Tour
Holland’s Southern Relax Tulip Tour
This was my third bike trip with Bike Tours.Com., but my first guided tour. Sietse, was an excellent guide, who kept us on a schedule but allowed us time to see things, gave us adequate coffee and lunch breaks. He always told us much information about each place as well as a voluntary walk at night in each town that we docked at, one does not get that on an unguided tour. Our chef, Nicole, was excellent, who I appreciated being on a gluten-free diet. The meals were healthy as well as delicious. The biking trip had very good trails with lots of canals and wildlife as well as windmills and of course the beautiful tulips, tulips, and tulips!

Holland’s Southern Relax Tulip Tour
I have nothing but positive happy memories of our bike tour. Bert, our guide clearly is proud of his country and did a beautiful job showing it off. The crew on the Liza Marleen were exceptional. The group of riders were fun to be around. This was the best trip ever!

Bucket list tour
Holland’s Southern Relax Tulip Tour
A delightful way to experience the Netherlands and see beautiful flowers along the way. We learned some of the history, architecture, and customs of the Dutch and enjoyed meeting the people. We visited a windmill that has been steadily making paper since the 17th century! Our barge crew was terrific! Great food and friendly conversations. The bikes were in great condition and had been carefully fitted to our measurements before we arrived so we could get right to the riding.

Beautiful, green Holland
Best of Holland North: Dutch Villages, Landscapes & the Keukenhof
We combined this tour with Ancient and Medieval Cities of Holland, South and rode this tour in reverse, Leiden to Amersfoort. We were impressed with the route as we skirted the Amsterdam sprawl. Instead we spent our days cycling through small villages, lovely nature areas, past polders and along scenic canals as we rode from Leiden to Haarlem, Eden, Weesp and finished in Amersfoort. The tour information, equipment and the GPS were perfect and the hotels, especially those in Edam, Weesp and Amersfoort were especially lovely. We were constantly impressed by the fact that bicycles were the major form of transportation.

So much fun!
Holland’s Southern Relax Tulip Tour
What a lovely way to get to know Holland. Our guide, Arie, was excellent - warm, knowledgeable, funny, and kind. The chef, Emile, was fantastic. I didn’t expect such delicious, thoughtful meals. He accommodated everyone with a smile, and was extremely helpful.
The cycling days were just right - a good mix of countryside, small towns, canals, and windmills pretty much every day. Arie was patient with the group and made sure everyone was comfortable. Staying on the barge was convenient, since it meant we could unpack our things.
The barge experienced some mechanical challenges, but the captain and crew were responsive, positive, and communicative throughout. I don’t feel it negatively impacted the tour.- What was the date of your tour?

Great cycle tour!
Holland’s Super Tulip Tour
We enjoyed the tulip tour very much. Our guide, Maria, did a wonderful job. She is very knowledgeable and makes everyone feel comfortable. The crew of the Sailing Home were also great! The bikes were in excellent condition.

Great way to explore a foreign country
Holland’s Super Tulip Tour
A really enjoyable way to discover a new country. We were fortunate to have a very helpful tour guide ,along with a first class chef providing excellent meals as well as very helpful barge staff. Our boat the Anna Anatel accomadated 17 guests and was an ideal group size for this type of activity.
