    Great trip.

Baltic Capitals: Historic Cities of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn

What a great way to see this part of the world. The cycling is easy, no huge hills to get in the way. Our guide, Ramos, had his finger on the pulse the full trip, it was so well organised. He is very knowledgeable with the countries now and the amazing history. All the accommodation was top class.

Wow!! Spectacular Coastal Cycling in Southern Sardinia

    Sardinia: A Mine of Memories

Southern Sardinia exceeded our expectations, offering an unforgettable combination of spectacular coastal scenery, crystal-clear beaches, charming seaside towns, and fantastic food. Every day brought something different, from dramatic cliffs and hidden coves to peaceful salt marshes and scenic coastal roads. The Cube e-bikes were comfortable and reliable, making the longer climbs and occasional headwinds far more enjoyable, while the Ride with GPS navigation made the route easy to follow with the flexibility to explore a few extra hidden gems along the way.

This tour is ideal for cyclists who are comfortable riding on roads with traffic, as there are very few dedicated bike paths. In return, you're rewarded with breathtaking scenery, authentic Sardinian hospitality, and plenty of opportunities to swim, relax, and enjoy the local cuisine. The local tour operator also provided excellent support throughout the trip, making the entire experience smooth and worry-free. We'd highly recommend travelling in May or late September/October when temperatures are cooler and the island is less crowded. It was a memorable cycling holiday that we would happily recommend to anyone looking to experience the beauty of southern Sardinia.

    Perfect trip with teens!

Prague to Dresden Along the Vltava & Elbe Rivers

This was our 3rd trip through BikeTours, and our first trip with our teens. It was a lovely way to intro the boys to bike touring. The route primarily follows the river taking you between farm land, forests, small towns and castle ruins. We booked an extra day in Hrensko and hiked the area, making a long meandering way to see the rock arch. We always try to anchor our bike trips with city visits - this tour was perfect for starting with 3 days in Prague and then ending with a short train ride to Berlin and 3 days of extra exploration.

    Beautiful Coastline

    Venice to Trieste and Istria

Let's start with what was great about this trip. The actual destinations (Jesolo, Puertograro, Piran etc) were very nice and picturesque. The hotels were great especially as this price point. My favorite cycle bits were actually the final two days - the elevated cycling track from Trieste into Slovenia and the mountains from Piran to Porec.

The reason i don't give this a 5* is simply because the actual rides for all the inbetween other cities were kind of boring in my opinion and no shade anywhere. After a while, seeing more vineyards isn't entirely appealing to me and quite a few Gravel paths as well which meant you couldn't quickly get past them.

The locla tour operator were great and very responsive on Whastapp. Biketours were also very helpful via email ahead of the bookings.
Still worth doing it once, but for me personally I will choose a national park destination next time or something with trees around.

E-Biking Makes It Easy to Experience the Beauty of the Dolomites

Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)

E-Biking is the perfect way to experience the Dolomites and another option to just hiking in the area. Hiking and biking are both popular so recommend the shoulder seasons of June and September. The Hotel Laurin's had a fabulous 6 course dinner every night, so don't expect to lose weight on this trip. The bikes were top notch and very easy to pedal even without e-assist. Great value and would highly recommend this trip.

    Amazing Trip

Three Lakes Tour: From Geneva to Annecy

The perfect way to experience this beautiful region of France! My uncle and I had an incredible time from start to finish. While we're not avid cyclists, we're both very active, and the route struck the perfect balance between enjoyable riding and a bit of a challenge. There were also customization options for anyone looking to make the ride more demanding.

The entire process with BikeTours was smooth, quick, and responsive, making planning effortless. The local organization on the ground, was equally outstanding, communicative, helpful, and supportive throughout the trip.

I would highly recommend this tour!

    Beautiful countryside

    Tauern Bike Path (Krimml-Passau)

Our fifth time riding this gorgeous bike tour. One can never tire of the beautiful mountains, waterfall, small farms, villages, orchards, etc. The hotels were all high quality and located on or near the bike path. The bikes were in excellent condition. The coordination between Bike Tours. Com and the local tour company was superb.

    Fantastic Family Holiday

Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne

What a wonderful way to experience Germany as a family of 6 with young adult 'children'. Some days of cycling were shorter than expected, allowing more time to ride the cable cars and experience the vineyards or charming villages. The interactive maps were a great help and the short descriptions provided more than enough information for us.

Very nice trip with surprising variety

    Best of Eastern Zealand

Pro: Everything went well. Local staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Bikes worked fine and were appropriate models for the trip. We liked staying at the hotels for two nights; less packing and unpacking. The countryside is beautiful. People along the way were SO helpful when we needed assistance. The trains were frequent and easy to use for returns trips (one way biking).
Cons: Lack of communication for initial meet to get bikes. Occasional, spurious verbal commands from the navigation that conflicted with the route/map. Some surprising single track on sometimes loose gravel that IMO was close to mountain biking.

    Beautiful part of Ireland

    Connemara Lazy Days Cycling

The Connemara region is truly beautiful and worth visiting. Our family enjoyed exploring the scenery and castles on the way. I wish the accommodations had been more consistent (similar from one another) and that we had been communicated that hotels/hostels would be located far from services such as restaurants, given that we had 2 children with us. We also biked mostly on a road shared with cars, which was stressful when managing kids. Overall, we enjoyed our trip but would not recommend for kids under the age of 12.

    Bucket List Trip

Dolomites to Venice Along the Old Dolomites Railway Track

At 72, this was likely my most memorable vacation and I am looking to find another before I get too old to continue these. The trip description was very accurate and we stuck to the plan. Although “self-guided” it would be impossible without the guidance app provided. It is essential to take a phone holder for the bike to be able to follow the app. Best to put phone in airplane mode as suggested. There were around 8 other participants on same tour package. We communicated and kept track of each other and understand that my wife and I were the only participants that biked the entire 200 mile route without taking the train. The rout avoids major highways and provides bike trails and low use roads when possible. All accommodations were really nice and accommodating for e bikes. This is not “just a rail trail” but the e bike provided was sufficient and handled each day well. First class equipment and support. It was unseasonably hot, even at high elevations. Great trip!!

Superb cycling experience from Porto to Obidos

Portugal's Coastal Splendor from Porto to Lisbon

Looked after very well from start to finish by Alberto and Ivo from Top Bike Tours Portugal, Helen and I enjoyed a superb 6 day cycling experience from Porto to Obidos in early May. Starting with a comprehensive briefing and supported by an (essential) guided departure out of Porto towards the coastal path, the overall experience was excellent. The supplied e-bikes were perfect for the route and had plenty of battery capacity. This included a 90km day when we chose to detour off the designated route to visit the gorgeous town of Aveiro (the 'Venice' of Portugal). The navigation app worked perfectly, which included being directed to our hotel at the end of each day's cycling. And we successfully followed up many of the recommended restaurants supplied in the information pack. Cycling down the Atlantic coast in early May was near perfect timing: not too hot and very little rain. Highly recommended!

    Fabulous Way To Experience Provence!

Cycling Paradise of Provence - to and from Avignon

We had a wonderful 6 day self-guided cycle through Provence - the Biketours organisation was outstanding as were the e-bikes we hired. Our bags were collected on time every time and delivered to our next hotel with no issues. We downloaded our GPS files onto Komoot - the app worked brilliantly and the maps were detailed and accurate- 2 of our party downloaded the maps which ensured we stayed on the right path! We particularly enjoyed spending 2 nights in each town as it meant we didn't have to repack our bags every day. Most of the routes took us along lovely and well maintained cycle paths so we did not have to navigate too much through busy towns or big roads with lots of traffic. The ride was moderate as described - not too easy nor too difficult which left us feeling we had done enough exercise for the day without being exhausted. We took the standard package for the first and last hotels but upgraded the middle hotel (to Hotel Henri) which was well worth the extra spend as it was outstanding. The other 2 hotels, Hotel Central (Avignon) and Hotel L'Amandiere (St Remy) were decent - the rooms clean and spacious, however the staff were unfriendly. Hotel Central is well positioned allowing easy access to the old town. Hotel L'Amandiere is a 10min walk from town but has a very nice swimming pool - a great feature given the 40deg temps we were riding in! Just beware, if you arrive earlier than the 3pm check in, and you would like to use the pool, they are going to charge you an early check-in fee of around EUR25/room. All in all, a fantastic experience and one I would highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the beautiful countryside and cycling up to the medieval villages without having to fight the traffic or the crowds.

Great way to see a whole different part of France

    Atlantic Coast of France

Fascinating and beautiful area of France. I had already done a Bike and Barge trip in France and a hiking trip, all in the more central areas of the country. And been to Paris. But this trip, along the Atlantic coast, was stupendous. The bike paths were well marked and you are either biking along the coast or through vineyards. We upgraded the accommodations and all hotels were fabulous. My only thought is that this might have been better as a guided trip rather than self guided. We kept feeling like there was so much we were cycling through that would have been better with a guide. Finally - local tour company provided great bikes and their direction system (RoadBook) worked great.
