Loved it
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
We lucked out with spectacular weather for this trip. It really is beautiful. At certain points we lost track of the "actual" path we were supposed to be following but eventually we would always find our way back on. The hotels were good. One improvement would be to have all hotels with A/C, as during the summer, the temps can be pretty high and a couple of the hotels were downright hot during the night. Some hotels offered a fan, but only two had A/C. The food at all of the hotels was great for breakfast and the staff at each one were helpful and friendly.

Absolutely wonderful trip with a tour guide extraordinaire!
Loire Valley Châteaux & Gardens Tour
I base most of my "Excellent" ratings on our guide, Bernard Dugdale, from The Chain Gang Tour Company via Bike Tours. He provided an excellent and problem-free bike trip for all 13 people on this Loire Valley Tour. He even pulled a rabbit out of a hat and secured train tickets for us while there was a train strike in France. He made sure everyone's bike "fit" them and was comfortable in every way. He was fluent in French, a lot of fun, and seemed to have his finger on the "pulse" of what was going on with each and everyone of us and made sure we were all looked after, whether ordering in a restaurant or having a minor difficulty with our bike. The castles were stunning and scenery beautiful. A+

Fantastic bike tour
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
This tour had it all. Stunning scenery, beautiful rides, and interesting villages. The tour operator made it special because she set up knowledgeable guides where we learned about the areas we were visiting. Unique experiences and variety. The hotels were charming. Everything was perfect.

Amazing experience!
Castles and Wines of Portugal
This trip really was the perfect way to explore the region of Portugal. We saw the true heart of the country! The food and wine stops were amazing, the guide (Maria) was exceptional. Riding the bikes was a bit more challenging than anticipated due to the many undulating roads (stretched out hills and climbs), but it was a rewarding experience to have ultimately been able to accomplish it. The trip offered a wonderful mix of history and architecture, food and nature. Our only disappointment was a last minute change to the itinerary, which had us staying at a company owned farm for two nights, about a 20 minute cab drive from Evora. Part of the group had accommodations downtown Evora, which would have been much preferred for us too since the farm was in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do.

Split to Dalmatian Islands

The time of my life.
UNESCO Sites of Albania
It was my first bike tour. And this is the perfect way to explore the country. I am really impressed. This trip far exceeded my expectations. The bike tour staff was available and helpful prior to the trip. The hotel Lauren where we stayed was immaculate and the meals were those of a Michelin star restaurant. We hadn’t expected dinner to be included so that was a really nice surprise. The app for our phone was very useful and the routes we rode were each unique and allowed us to explore different parts of the dolomites. We rode E. bikes and were appreciative of the assist. The bikes arrived at our hotel in perfect, well maintained condition. I have recommended this trip to our friends who ride. I can’t imagine how it could have been improved.

The mose unique trip we have ever done
Best of Catalonia Cycle Touring
First time experiencing Spain on a bike ! Trails were a little hard to find even with GPS as my husband and I are not good a navigating. But we loved the challenge. The diversity of our area & hotels were fabulous. Folks along our journey were very helpful and Daniel our main guy did a great job to make our trip memorable. Excellent Trip
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
I would definitely recommend Biketours.com. We had a fantastic trip from Passau to Vienna. Nothing to fault in any of the hotels en route. The Rose Hotel in Maria Taferl and the hotel in Schlogen were particularly fantastic. Quick checkin always and luggage always ahead of us. I got a puncture on day one and my bike was replaced immediately. The app and directions were first class and so easy to follow. We hired E-bikes and they had a great range - never in danger of running out of battery. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

"Moselle Valley by Bike: A Well-Organized and Scenic Trip"
Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
We recently completed a cycling trip from Trier to Koblenz, passing through the Moselle Valley. The experience was excellent overall—well-organized, scenic, and relaxing.
The bikes we hired were in good condition and comfortable for long days of riding. The bike paths along the Moselle were easy to follow, mostly flat, and well signposted, making navigation simple even without GPS.
Accommodation throughout the trip was high quality. We especially liked the Kessler-Meyer Wellness Hotel in Cochem, which had great facilities and a comfortable atmosphere. Another highlight was the Hotel Richtershof in Mülheim, which offered a very good wine list and a relaxing setting. In Koblenz, we stayed at the Mercure Hotel, which was conveniently located near the river and a short walk from the Deutsches Eck.
One of the highlights of the trip was a wine tasting in Traben-Trarbach, where we had the chance to sample local Rieslings. After reaching Koblenz by bike, we took the ferry along the Rhine and cycling back to the city—an enjoyable way to see a different stretch of river scenery.
The only small issue we encountered was that the bikes weren't waiting for us at the starting hotel in Trier. However, the rental company responded quickly, and the bikes were delivered within a few hours.
Overall, this was a smooth and enjoyable trip. The combination of good bikes, quality hotels, and a scenic, easy-to-navigate route made for a great experience.

Great trip through Southern Albania
UNESCO Sites of Albania
I thoroughly enjoyed the UNESCO Sites of Albania cycling tour. Our guide Andrea was awesome! He was very eager to share his knowledge of Albania, its culture and history. He was also very friendly, helpful and supportive of tour participants. The hotels and restaurants were all good, food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the two nights that we spent at local guest houses up in the mountains: family run and very friendly, with amazing local fresh food. The bicycles they provided were in good condition. The sag van driver and mechanic Rimi was great. He promptly and skillfully addressed any mechanical issues with the bicycles and was very supportive of any riders who needed to ride some sections in the van.
My only criticism of the tour is that communication prior to the trip was minimal. Also, though not my personal experience, some of the other participants had been given misleading information about the difficulty of the trip from TO's administrative staff prior to the trip.

Swiss Lakes by E-bike: Lake Geneva to Lake Lucerne
A perfect way to experience Switzerland! The trail was well marked and the app worked well. All but one hotel was amazing. We had no problems with our luggage. It was in our room when we arrived.

Great adventure
Camino de Santiago: A Pilgrim’s Route From Astorga to Santiago
So many great stops. Really loved Las Ferrerías even tho it’s the smallest town - low cultural interest but great people. Two improvements - for O Pino either stay in the town (rather than outside, we had to bike to dinner) or skip that stop. Would be a long day from Palas de Rei (another favorite) but might be worth it. Add another day/night in Santiago to make up for it. Loved Molinaseca - very lively town beach on the river. There are too many great memories to list here, but you guys really did a great job. O Cebreiro beautiful. The Galician castle detour highly recommended. I loved your throwback book of directions. Had to keep in our toes but getting lost sometimes is part of the fun. Going to hit you here with things to improve but it does not mean we did not enjoy our time. The bike I had was in terrible shape - your non e-bike fleet needs some help. By the way, you should tell people who are planning to not use ebikes that this is fairly strenuous! I’m a fairly strong cyclist and I was wasted after most days on the mechanical bike. Maybe it was the extreme heat though that made it seem tougher. Family loved the e-bikes, but the keys were broken, making it more difficult to charge at night. I think your mechanic in Astorga should have checked my back wheel better and should have had the tools to fix the key situation.

This was a fantastic way to see Austria. The hotels were excellent and the food was to die for. No problems at all with bikes, luggage, navigation, or reservations. Great, Balanced Bike Trip in the Spring Season
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
My wife and I had a great time on this bike trip, our first of this kind. The first 2 days took some adjusting - we ran into some unexpected detours the first day due to some unreliable info (seemed to be incorrect info from the trail authority/agency, not the tour company at fault), but it was easy enough to sort out on the fly. The 2nd day was full of rain and difficult biking conditions, but we knew the chance we were taking when we chose mid-April for our trip. Almost everything's else on our trip was great after that! The sites, towns, and views along the way were enjoyable and often beautiful. Some of our stops were suggested in our itinerary, and others we found on our own. The suggestions overall were good, but alternative options were always easy to find as well. The hotels were all nice and seemed well-placed along our route, for the most part. The Steigenberger Hotel & Spa in Krems was the one outlier for us on that front - to get there, we had to go up a road with fairly high traffic on a very steep hill that didn't have a bike lane, which we did not find mentioned in our documents. It was a small issue that probably would not matter much with an e-bike, but for an itinerary rated as 1-Easy, we feel it should have at least been noted in our documents. This hotel also seemed the least-oriented toward bicycle traffic/guests, but again these are small things we hope might help people taking this tour in the future, not major problems or complaints. All of the hotels had good bike storage, breakfasts, and friendly, helpful service. The rooms varied in size and quality of view from place to place, but all were clean, well maintained, and never lacked anything you'd expect in a hotel room. We didn't have dinner at every hotel (and not all had their own restaurant), but we did at Faustschlössl Hotel in Aschach and Hotel Rose in Maria Taferl, both of which were excellent. The bikes, bags, and other equipment all worked well, and pickup/dropoff was fairly easy at the first and last hotels. Overall, this was a great experience and everything from the tour company met our expectations. We would definitely recommend this trip to others, and look forward to doing more like it in the future!
